Now it looks like Eddie Murphy's comedy A Thousand Words will be released on march 23, according to The Wrap.
Paramount Pictures has rescheduled the Eddie Murphy comedy "A Thousand Words," and will release it March 23, 2012 instead of Jan. 13, 2012.
The switch puts "A Thousand Words" head-to-head with Lionsgate's "The Hunger Games." It also puts the movie's release date just less than one month after the Academy Awards, which Murphy is hosting.
According to IMDB, A Thousand Words is about a blasé guy who learns that he has only 1,000 words left to speak before he will die, and also stars Allison Janney and Kerry Washington.
Makes sense for Paramount to want to capitalize on the publicity of Eddie Murphy hosting the Academy Awards, and it also doesn't seem like this is the type of film to compete for the same audience with The Hunger Games.
As of now, there are no other movies with announced releases that same weekend.
